How to study a manifold ?

Abstract : The question is simple: if I give you any manifold how would you study it ?
Do you search for holes ? Study thiner local geometry ? Or maybe you prefer to solve equations on it, what are your ideas ?
In this talk we will try to give an as-much-as-possible exhaustive answer and try to connect and unify different branches of differential geometry.
