An application of Fokas methods to potentials with axial symmetry
In this talk, we will give an introduction to Fokas methods to explicitly solve certain partial differential equations. We will then give an application of these techniques to the study of potentials with axial symmetry, in particular by giving the solution of singular Riemann-Hilbert problems on Riemann surfaces. Finally we will see how, in certain cases, the methods of Fokas make it possible to obtain a link between the data of Dirichlet and of Neumann on the edge of a regular domain for the solutions of certain elliptic equations. This is a work in collaboration with Slah Chaabi and Franck Wielonsky.
