How much dynamical complexity is forced by geometric irregularity? Recent work shows that many familiar forms of irregular behavior coexist with zero entropy. I will discuss a new result showing that this phenomenon breaks down for Besicovitch maps, continuous functions whose graphs admit no tangent lines.
