In the lecture I will discuss a recent formula for expressing the so called weighted homogeneous Siciak-Zakharyuta extremal functions. These functions were first introduced in 1961 by Siciak and they have found many applications in complex analysis. I will discuss one such application. This is a report on a joint work with Barbara Drinovec Drnovsek published in Indagationes Math. 2016.
