I will present some established ideas about tools arising mostly from Time-Frequency analysis (such as the Banach Gelfand Triple (SO,L2,SO*) , based on « Feichtinger’s Algebra » SO(G) and the dual space of « mild distributions, inspired by recent questions in QHA (Quantum Harmonic Analysis). I will present some ways to approximate the continuous setting via discrete problems which are accessible via MATLAB (in the spirit of structure preserving approximations, such as approximation the Fourier transform via FFTs and so on).
